We went to Phoenix, AZ to surprise our friend Josh for his birthday. We spent the weekend at his parents' house, staying in the casita with our other friends Will and Kerri.
We wandered around the neighborhood a bit.
Mostly we hung out, ate, and drank.
It was lovely. Happy Birthday Josh!
January 31st
Tonight is a Super Blood Blue Moon.
I tried to get some photos of it.
A Super Blood Blue Moon means that it's a Super Moon, a Blood Moon, and a Blue Moon all at once.
This hasn't happened in over 150 years.
A Super Moon is when the moon is closer to the Earth than usual. This happens 3-4 times a year.
A Blood Moon is when the moon turns red during an eclipse. This may happen once or twice a year.
A Blue Moon is when the moon is full twice in one month. This happens every two or three years.
So all in all, it was a spectacular and rare event.
