A Land Down Under - Day 1 Sydney

December 17th

We're spending the Christmas holidays in Australia!!!

Dan, Me, Jim, and Sherrie are in Australia!
The HMAS Onslow in Darling harbor.

We arrived in Sydney in the morning, checked into our Air B&B and then wandered down to Darling harbor to try to fight jet lag.

First Australia selfie!

Oh!  Sydney Harbor Bridge!

"Life From a Suitcase" by Terrance Plowright (2010)
A celebration of immigration into Australia.

"Herald Sculpture" by Tom Bass (1959)
It originally hung above the entrance to the Herald Building in Jones Street and is now located on the Fairfax Building.

Oh, and then there's this magnificent beast.

I'm pretty sure he's an Australian White Ibis.

The Pyrmont Bridge aligned with flags saying "Love" in different languages.

After wandering around Darling Harbor for a bit we got a few groceries and headed back to the apartment, where we all fell asleep.  So much for fighting jet-lag.

This concludes our adventures for today.
