Dan went to the grocery store to try to find things to make a cake. We also haven't unpacked all the kitchen stuff so making do with what we've found so far. Our one set of neighbors very sweetly offered some boxed cake mix and frosting. They even offered to make the cake, but we were able to find some pans and bowls.
Dan mostly succeeded in not flinging cake batter all over the kitchen.

We were able to video call in both sets of grandparents.
